Private Piano Lessons in San Mateo
Ages 4 - Adults
Future Valley Music Art Studio offers private, one-on-one piano lessons for 30 minutes, 45 minutes, and one hour per week. Semi-private lessons are also available at 45-minute intervals. Semi-private lessons are two-on-one. Age 4 to adults. Absolute beginners welcome!
We believe that learning music enriches lives, develops brains, and most importantly, allows us to discover the joys of the music world.
We are located at 608 N El Camino Real Ave. San Mateo, CA. Parking is right in front of the school and it is free.

Are we the right piano program for you?
Professional Instructor
Vincent Zhang earned a DMA (Doctor of Musical Arts) at the University of Minnesota and his second master’s degree at the University of Cincinnati. Studied at Shanghai Conservatory of Music for first master's degree and undergraduate. Piano teachers include Timothy Lovelace, Ran Dank, and Jackson Leung. His chamber music teachers include Sandra Rivers, Lee Fiser, and Yehuda Hanani, all of whom are exceptional performers and world-renowned musicians.
During his study, Vincent was a Teaching Assistant at UMN. He attended many piano festivals and music activities, such as the Shanghai Conservatory of Music – International Piano Festival; Culture Exchange Performance Tour in the USA; The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd (Shanghai) China Russian School International Piano Festival. He received Outstanding Teacher at the 2nd Russian School International Piano Festival and 22nd Annual MCAC Honorable Mention.
Vincent has been teaching for over 10 years since his undergraduate. He has helped numerous students pass the ABRSM Practical, Music Theory, and Performance Diploma exams. He is a very patient teacher and passionate about inspiring students’ creativity.
Brand New KAWAI Grand Piano
We offer well-tuned KAWAI grand piano for our every and each lesson.
Billngual Instruction
We offer bilingual instruction in English and Mandarin. Students can choose to teach in English, Mandarin or a mixed way for better understanding and application.
Weekdays and Weekends are Both Available
Afterschool and late hours are available! We like to accommodate your busy schedules. Lessons are available: 12:00 pm - 7:00 pm on weekdays. We are also open 10:00 am - 6:00 pm on Saturdays.
Student Recitals
FV students can sign up to perform pieces of music they are working on with their instructor. Performances are held every once in a while. This can include solo, duet and ensemble performances.
