Summer Camp Counselors - College Students needed

$12-15 an hour

Part-time or full-time

 

Future Valley Education

This summer we are looking for friendly and energetic college students and recent graduates (high school or college) to join us and have some fun! We're not just seeking employees, we're looking for people who want to work with kids and to grow their leadership skills. You will be leading campers throughout their camp day.

 

1.If you enjoy inspiring young writers, bringing creativity to life, and helping kids develop self-confidence we would love to talk to you!

2. From leading a round of capture the flag, to acting in morning improv

skits, and giving campers suggestions on story plot and grammar, you’ll have a blast while developing your own leadership, teaching, and acting skills!

During the classroom rotations, you will participate in projects as though you yourself were a camper, other than times called upon to assist the credentialed teacher leading the rotation.

The camps are two weeks in length, 8:00am-4:00pm daily. We encourage you to work multiple sessions!

We are also hiring Adventure Guides in Foster City and San Mateo.

Our all staff training is on June 7, 2019 and the camps start June 10th. If you are interested,  Apply Now!

The ideal candidate should:

• have an upbeat child-friendly personality.

• have some prior experience with children in any setting

• have reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license.

• be able to pass a CA state & Federal background check.

• be available 8-4, M-F for full time camp work. OR

• be available at least 2 hours, 2 days a week for workshops or other scheduled events.

• Works in a quick and accurate fashion

• Willingness to learn

• Works well with others

• Positive, can-do attitude

• Communicates well with others

Salary: $12.00 - $15 /hour

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
